MARION – Funeral arrangements have been announced for Williamson County Fire Protection District Fire Chief Jeremy Norris, who lost his battle against cancer Sunday.

According to the Williamson County Fire Protection District, the funeral will be held Saturday at noon at Williamson County Fire Station #1 on East Main in Marion.

Visitation will be held Friday, from 4 to 8 p.m., at the fire station and Saturday from 10 a.m. until service time. Burial will be at Coal Bank Springs Cemetery near Dykersburg.

The Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills will be assisting with the services. Details regarding the First Responder walk through will be forthcoming.

Norris, who was 55, spent 35 years with the fire department. He was appointed as the first ever District Deputy Fire Chief in 2005 and then Fire Chief in 2010.

Norris leaves behind his wife, Allie Norris; parents, Jerry and Yevonne Norris; brother-in-law and sister, Gary and Jennifer Turner; and doting niece, Jordan Turner.
