WILLIAMSON COUNTY – A 48-year-old woman was found after getting lost in the woods while mushroom hunting south of Little Grassy Lake Tuesday.

The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office says deputies responded to the area around 6 p.m. and organized a search to find the woman.

Deputies found the woman unharmed an hour later about a mile into the woods. She was able to hike back to the staging area with deputies.

Authorities say the woman told someone where she was going and was able to make a call for help before her cell phone battery ran out.

Lake of Egypt Fire assisted the sheriff’s office with an ambulance, UTV and brush truck.
