CHICAGO – Just one day into her campaign for U.S. Senate, Lt. Gov. Juliana Stratton Friday morning received Governor JB Pritzker’s endorsement.

Capitol News Illinois reports Stratton is vying to replace retiring U.S. Senator Dick Durbin in what’s likely to be an expensive primary.
Outside a church in Stratton’s native Bronzeville neighborhood on Chicago’s South Side, Pritzker declined to say how much financial support he would give the lieutenant governor. But he touted Stratton as someone who — quote — “knows how to fight” for Illinois.
While other Democrats have not yet officially announced, at least three members of Illinois’ Congressional delegation may be interested in the seat.
